Who We Are
Fénix Adventuras is comprised of a team of experienced Camino guides who know the journey from the inside out. Our team is made up of local Spanish guides who grew up along these routes and U.S.-based hikers who came to the Camino, walked it step by step, and were deeply changed by the experience. Together, we share a common love for the Camino and a deep understanding of what makes the journey meaningful—from the practical needs of the walk to the quiet moments of connection that unfold along the way.
We design our journeys with firsthand familiarity—trail by trail, village by village—working closely with the small hotels, restaurants, and local partners we trust. That means thoughtful routes, smooth logistics, and those “only locals know” details that make a trip feel special.
Our guides are carefully selected not only for professionalism and experience, but for warmth and attentiveness. We listen closely, adapt along the way, and aim to create a trip that feels personal—where you’re supported, welcomed, and never just another booking.
In the end, our goal is simple: to share Spain in a way that feels authentic, human, and memorable—so you return home with more than photos: a deeper connection to the Camino, to the culture, and to the people you met along the way.
Why Walk the Camino?
At Fénix Adventuras, we believe the Camino de Santiago isn’t just a walk or a hike. It’s a shared journey — one that stays with you long after the final steps into Santiago.
Camino de Santiago is a network of historic walking routes across Spain that lead to the city of Santiago de Compostela. For over a thousand years, people from all walks of life have walked these paths — not to conquer a mountain, but to experience a journey.
While the Camino is a multi-day walk, many routes are not technically difficult. Daily distances can be broken up into manageable sections, most paths are well marked, and walkers move at their own pace. What makes the Camino special isn’t how hard it is — it’s what unfolds along the way.
The Camino is a space to slow down, to reflect, and to connect. Days are spent walking through villages, countryside, and historic towns; evenings are shared over simple meals and conversations with fellow walkers from around the world. Strangers become companions. Conversations turn into friendships that often last long after the journey ends.
People walk the Camino for many reasons — curiosity, transition, clarity, religious or simply the joy of walking — but most return home with something unexpected: a deeper sense of connection to themselves and to others with a more clear sense of purpose.
What We Offer
We offer both guided group tours and self-guided tours on various Camino routes.
Whether guided or self-guided tours, Fénix Adventuras invites you to walk the Camino not just as a route across Spain, but as a pilgrimage of renewal, presence, and transformation—one step at a time.
Guided Tours
Our guided tours are designed for travelers who want the Camino experience with expert support and a shared group journey. You’ll join a small group of up to 16 people, all walking the same itinerary on set dates and staying in the same carefully selected towns and hotels along the route. With one to two experienced guides accompanying the group, you’re free to walk at your own pace while knowing help and guidance are always close by.
We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the journey. Daily luggage transfers between hotels are included, allowing you to carry only a day pack. Each guided tour includes a welcome dinner in the starting town, a set itinerary with hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, picnic lunch during each walking stage, and continuous on-route support. If you need to rest or shorten a stage, we can arrange a transfer to the next destination, understanding that every traveler’s needs are different.
Your tour also includes a Pilgrim’s Passport, guidance on receiving your Pilgrim’s Certificate (Compostela) upon arrival in Santiago de Compostela, and a finale celebration dinner in Santiago to mark the completion of your journey.
Self-Guided Tours
Our self-guided tours offer flexibility and independence while we handle all planning and logistics. You choose the dates, route, and itinerary you prefer, and we create a custom detailed plan tailored to your needs. We can suggest typical routes and walking stages or custom adapt them to your needs (break up long legs or combine short ones).
We pre-book your hotels with breakfast, arrange luggage transfers between accommodations, and provide your Pilgrim’s Passport, along with clear instructions on how to obtain your Pilgrim’s Certificate upon arrival in Santiago de Compostela. You’ll receive a complete daily itinerary so you can walk confidently at your own pace, knowing every detail has been taken care of.
